Recently? I haven't heard about the Stardew Valley (so random LOL) part of this drama, but everything else seems to be an ongoing (?) thing with this company and game. Unfortunately, I can't give you any tea because I've never dug into this game and it's not considered an otome game, so it doesn't spill into my regular circles either.

The only thing I can say is that I don't particularly like the company because of how I perceive their attitude towards female players, haha. It feels very hot and cold, like they want to earn money from the female market but they don't respect it at all either. If you thought the "discourse" in the global Love and Deepspace community between queer players and straight players was bad, it's utter chaos in the Ashes of Kingdom community between fujoshis and yumejoshis (not helped at all by the company refusing to have a stance so that they can, presumably, get money from everyone).

I don’t particularly care about this game and I don’t speak/read Chinese but I found out about this in a Reddit comment LOL. Something about the fandom fights with the Chinese Stardew Valley fandom, new content that was derogatory towards women, removal of female-oriented tag then backtracking of developers. I want the whole tea
