Yeah, there's been incidences like this in the Western gaming sphere though, like Jennifer Hepler leaving Bioware and, while she cited family reasons, she also received a lot of death threats and harassment at the time.

Unfortunately, I've been out of JP otome games for a while now and I have this personal thing where I don't pay attention to creator names until I've been impressed by their work for 3 or more things (or if their first work completely blew my mind and shook my soul or something), so everything I've played is just a single work that, while I enjoyed, would make me hesitant to claim their writers are the best.

The only two writers I know by name, and have checked out most of their resume and enjoyed their works, are Ren Mikado and Setsuka. I think they're very talented and consistent (although Mikado has had so many misses with me lately that I hesitate whenever I see her name now RIP), but they're mostly scriptwriters for drama CDs.

Ok since from what I can tell, the writers for Chinese otome games are kept anonymous for their own safety (that's really sad tbh).

So, who would you say are one of the best japanese writers from the JP otomege side? Can be multiple of course.
