I set this perch aside until I finished reading all the kids stories and only just remembered it, haha. The only rewards these systems have that "affect" the main game (?) are giving cosmetics like avatar frames and more objects to put in your studio.

You've got it right in that it's just adding more gameplay to keep you on the screen, spend time with the men, and give you extra lore. The farm gives cute lore, like how apparently Jesse can make talismans that repel mosquitos (I would marry him just for that—) and by feeding the men different food you can get a better idea of their likes and dislikes.

I've been completely convinced about the kid system and the lore there though, especially with Evan and Sariel's stories. At the very least, I would recommend people read Evan's story because it really does add another thread to the tapestry that is Evan's character, making you understand his core personality and how much his environment shaped him into the man you know. (I would give 33 all of my worldly possessions too.)

Is it more of like a “adding more gameplay when idle/spend more time with your man/extra lore” like the Home designing? Asking as somebody who unfortunately does not enjoy these types of minigames 😔
