It's because, compared to your other examples, CN live service otome games have unique etiquette that oils the frictional interactions that can happen between people in these spaces that encourage intense parasocial attachments, so why not adopt something that's already been proven to work instead of trying to reinvent the wheel or leave things to be the Wild West? It's also ironic to tell people to get off a Western platform when over half of the content posted here are things lifted from Chinese platforms. VIP boxes, cosplayers, convention videos, strategy guides, whales unlocking content, etc. Chinese fandom content is being reposted (sometimes even being run through terrible machine translation) and you want to reinforce this by saying people cannot bring over any of the context of that fandom where content is being taken from?

Additionally, people need to stop putting localizations on a pedestal, when the majority of localizations have no idea what they're doing, because they contract localizing agents that use machine translation, have QCAs that don't play the game, and rarely do they have legitimate consultants with knowledge of what should or should not be changed. Just look at the latest discourse in Love and Deepspace now that the English localization has realized they cannot rewrite Xia Yizhou's content LOL.

if people wanna function like chinese fandom then why not just stay off of western platforms like twt and use weibo/xhs instead of expecting people to change their fandom culture for u, specifically when the game in question has been localized for GLOBAL AUDIENCES. genshin is also a cn game and altho both sides disagree at times u dont see other global fans pressuring others to act like cn fans. same with the nikki games. same with mysme although it’s korean. i dont know why this is such a phenomenon on otome twt. and its even more eye brow raising when its non chinese people that try to push this on others, like okay cboo. 

let people enjoy things the way they want as long as it’s not hurting anyone. 

and i know someone’s gonna say that twitter isn’t a western platform or wtv but it was made by a westerner and mostly used by people in the us (japan is 2nd) so i’m calling it western.
