Mildly jealous is an understatement, try actual murder attempts LOL. Evan tried to slice Charlie's throat and Jesse shot at Osborn. These scenes were well received, especially that scene with Evan and Charlie, although there were still some unhappy people (mostly for how vicious it gets between Jesse and Osborn) but they're in the minority.

In my opinion, audience reception to these scenes comes down to the writing setting a precedent. Light and Night have had the men interacting with each other right from release, such as Evan being the one to invite Sariel to Warson, Evan hiring Osborn to investigate for him, etc. The world and characters are written in a way where it would be too weird if they didn't interact or know about each other, and so the audience has been primed to accept them interacting. The rest is just nailing the "degree" of jealousy shown and LN has cleared this bar every single time, haha.

Same goes for Tears of Themis and Beyond the World, where the game immediately starts off with the men being aware of each other and mentioning each other. Their jealousy scenes are well received too.

However, in Love and Deepspace's case (and Love and Producer at the beginning), the men are very isolated, not even mentioning each other, so I think people are having a hard time imagining how the men will interact with each other.

See, the difficulty of writing a jealousy scene in a CN mobile otome game is that you cannot have either man "lose" in the battle (unless you're Evan in that one scene with Charlie and everyone wanted to see you suffer because of your clown actions LOL) so you have to make sure each man gets the same amount and degree of barbs. Sometimes it's just easier not to tempt fate and piss off players with a scene that will have people thinking the company doesn't like one of the men because they "lost" in a jealousy scene LOL.

Hi I've been following you for a while and you've mentioned before that light and night LIs interact and even get mildly jealous of other. I was wondering how fans reacted to that? Was it well received? I was on the lads subreddit the other day and was surprised to find out how many players disliked the possibility of LIs being slightly jealous of each other. I've heard of a lot of lads CN players not being fond of the LIs interacting but I was surprised for once to see some global players be sorta in agreement when they're usually in disagreement (sometimes bewildered) from the CN players in how they interact with the otome genre.
