I am so sorry you had to go through that and from a friend too... can't even just tell them to piss off and block them. Like, at this point, it's whatever if these people have no experience in reading, in romance fiction, and in otome games, but where is the most basic level of decency to not make everything about them and their interests, especially when they're in another space.

On one hand, there's general tropes where I suppose you can find similarities. On the other hand, there's also max delusion of seeing your blorbo in every shadow and, at one point, if you can apply your blorbo to everything it makes me wonder if he even has any defining characteristics or if 90% of his character is just fanon generation. For example, Sylus stans wanting to make him the Everything Man, who transcends every (romance) trope ever.

I have a lads friend who got curious & wanted to try other games I play, obviously I was happy & welcomed her but dear god what a MISTAKE. This one event I was waiting for MONTHS I tell you because it explores one of my fav characters emotion state as well as huge turning point story. & ^_^ she made it about her fuckass lads li for some reason, everything was "this is sylus" "this is so sylus" "they will make it his 3rd myth iktr" & it just ruined all my fun. Like wow these cannot consume any other media at all for what they are without shoving their lis on it. Maybe its the shitty writing on that game but it's so fucking annoying bro just don't bother anything else if end of day you need AU ideas for your li just go to fucking ao3 or something.
