Almost two years later and still seeing people mistake Gu Shiye for being Zayne fanart (on a post that explicitly mentions both of them as two separate characters) makes my response to this perch be a dry laugh and "Good, I hope they suffer more and maybe they can grow some empathy" LOL.

I'm not sure if it's because I've withdrawn more from social media, but it feels like I've seen less meal replacements or other otome game PVs go viral and have the annoying "@Love_Deepspace when???" so I think they're learning...? Extremely painfully agonizingly slowly, but there seems to be some progress.

Just a lads artist complaining about how they gotta fix their artstyle cause people mistake their zayne as sandman, & everyone on replies was like "ohhh no they're def projecting your zayne looks perfect" "they just wanna hype their man when they look nothing alike" like okay you all do know how annoying it gets when a group of people keep mistaking your favorite character as someone else repeatedly but when it comes to applying this logic on other fandoms suddenly its "not that serious" like I get it, it's not end of world but its still annoying.
