Not just otome gacha games, having this thought for otome games in general is pretty silly LOL. The poster boy, the locked character, or the "truth" route doesn't necessarily mean they're the canon route either.

However, like I mentioned before (close to the bottom), I can understand why people might get this feeling. They're understanding otome game writing through the lens of novel writing, which would usually be a good thing except for the fact that being a "game" medium changes things up a little. There are unique "rules" when it comes to writing for CN mobile otome games and the sooner people realize this the better LOL.
