Okay, I'm going to be on some extreme haterism and elitism shit here but I'm not interested in anyone's opinions on otome games if they do not pass these requirements:

Understand the differences between JP console otome games, CN console otome games, JP mobile otome games, and CN mobile otome gamesHave spent time in the native communities, be it Japanese or Chinese

In particular, I'm not listening to anyone's opinions on Love and Deepspace if they do not pass this requirement in addition to the above:

Have played at least 3 of the Big 6 CN mobile otome games

Because I'm not watching those videos (I already know from friends who watched the videos that the creators didn't pass my requirements LMAO), I'm not going to address or debunk their points but I will state my position and frustration whenever I hear people glaze Love and Deepspace for "revolutionizing" the industry.

People who talk about this game, even if they know about the existence of Love and Producer, still seem to think Love and Deepspace popped out of the void in 2024. If you've been following CN mobile otome games from 2017 to 2024 though, you would have seen that most of the features these games already had were something Love and Deepspace simply included in their game.

In fact, it just occurred to me that Love and Deepspace is heading into their 2nd anniversary but they've only added 3 new minor features, like quality time additions, menstrual cycle tracking, and journaling. The other CN otome games have added entire new systems or gameplay at this point in time—heck, during this time period, Light and Night has added 4 new features and 3 new gameplay features, such as Love Makes Us One, Passion Moment, Immerse in Lust, that damn badge wall, the kid system, calendar tracking including menstrual cycle, and the farming system.

Immediately at the first few sentences was "A genre has long been considered niche but something has changed". No it does not, it didn't change anything including popularity. If Silksong became popular for a 2D platformer, why can't the rest of the 2D platformer be popular then?

Then this one is more biased cuz it wasn't much about the source they have right in front of them, it's more on their own game

This was even worse before she edit her comment that she says smth like "Just because it is copied from MLQC doesn't mean it is bad". It is still bad and I wish they would stop pretending and making excuses and just enjoy their realism 3D game. 

It just gets even worse when someone point out that one of Zayne's card is very similar to Victor's anniversary illustration, they always keep saying the same thing "I don't think it counts as a copy if they are from the same company". Being in the same company doesn't absolve the copying & laziness and the game being in the same company does not mean they have the exact same writers

As if the other Youtuber spreading misinformation about 10C making 3D otome based on a random edited LN PV isn't bad enough. It gets worse when its the two of them spreading bs about otome in general
