My new villain origin story are the words "I wish this was in 3D" because this is old discourse from the AAA game industry, so why are we bringing it here!? I also heard "I want an open world otome game" and "I don't want to take forever farming for resources" in the same sentence, which makes my blood pressure rise, because those two things conflict with each other. An open world would have to incentivize people to explore it and that would involve running around farming things.

I just seriously need everyone to sit through a game design course and a writing course and then come back to talk about these things, so they would understand why so many concepts are near impossible to combine without prioritizing one over the other, which is exactly what we're seeing with Love and Deepspace's lackluster writing versus their titillating virtual boyfriend simulator.

Is there a fandom they haven’t picked a fight with yet?? Granted there’s loud voices in every fandom, just that LADS is amplified because of their popularity. 

Anyways, my blood is still boiling at them referring to traditional otome gameplay as ‘slop’ in comparison to their very sophisticated 3d arpg. This is just a more personal thing, but I hate it as somebody who also plays Genshin/Wuthering Waves on the side, like I barely have time to grind for those games and you’re expecting me to hardcore grind for an otome?? with artifact stats too??? I did that for the first few months and got severely burnt out. I’d much rather they place more importance on their WRITING cause it’s an O T O M E game (and extra screw PG for locking important lore behind getting myth pairs). But yeah, that’s just my personal pet peeve.
